Five years ago I moved from NYC to join CMT / MTV Networks. The transition to Nashville had to happen fast which meant I needed a new home ASAP. This wasn't going to be an easy task because I'm very picky about where I will call, "home". This is where Donna Tisdale came swooping into my life. She had one hand on the steering wheel, the other hand glued to her cell and her attention fully on my many housing needs. Within three days she found my home! The house was perfect and exactly what I was looking for, but of course I wanted to change everything. Once again I turned to Donna for help locating qualified contractors, ones who had earned the "Donna Seal Of Approval". After five great years in Nashville, I made the tough decision to accept a new position in the DC area. "My wife Diana and I recently moved into the Nashville area, just outside the Brentwood area in Davidson county. Since our previous residence was only about an hour's drive north of Nashville, and because we were therefore somewhat familiar with the city and its surrounding suburbs, our initial plan was to search for a house without securing a buying agent. But by happenstance we crossed paths with Donna Tisdale, and soon after we made the decision to have Worth Properties represent us in our search for a home in Nashville. In retrospect, this was one of the best decisions we ever made. I think that having Worth Properties help us through this process was God's way of watching out for us when we thought we could handle things ourselves.
Melinda Hickey, Donna's sister, represented us as our buying agent. We conveyed to Melinda the general area we wished to live in, the type and size home we were looking for, and the price range that we felt comfortable with. From that point forward, my wife and I were spoiled silly. Without blinking an eye, Melinda showed us property after property until we finally found the house we wanted. Then, with Donna's help and expertise in the area of contracts, Melinda walked us through the process of making a bid and a counter bid on the house. And while Melinda's only responsibility was to help my wife and I find a home in Nashville she also aided us in the selling of our own house up in Kentucky. We already had our house listed, but were becoming increasingly frustrated with our selling agent who did not seem to be marketing our home very well. Without charging us a dime, Melinda and her husband (who is a professional photographer) drove up to Simpson County Kentucky and took a bunch of new pictures of our house, which, in turn gave our house a much better internet presence. We sold our house a short time later.
Melinda Hickey and Donna Tisdale assisted my wife and I every step of the way, from the moment we asked for their help until we had the keys of a new home in our hands. As a pastor in the greater Nashville area, I will probably have plenty of opportunities to point others in the direction of a good sound real estate organization. Worth Properties will get all of these referrals.
