An important reason why so many families seek more information about Williamson County homes is the excellent school district that provides education to students.  The cities of Brentwood, TN, Franklin, TN, Spring Hill and Nolensville all have excellent schools.  The city of Brentwood, TN is the state of Tennessee's best educated city, with over 69 percent of adult residents holding an associate degree or higher, and nearly 65 percent possessing a baccalaureate degree or higher.

Williamson County Public School System is a student-centered, academically enriching district that supports the collaborative educational efforts of teachers, students, staff, and the community.

Williamson County Schools is a school district that serves more than 27,600 students. There are 36 school sites, which include eight high schools, seven middle schools, 22 elementary schools, and one K-8 school. Williamson County students continue to earn achievement scores that rank among the highest and most impressive in the state of Tennessee.

All Williamson County high schools offer advanced placement (AP) programs with at least 21 different courses offered. All schools, as well as the central office of Williamson County Schools, are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. WCS's Franklin High School is honored as the state of Tennessee's first International Baccalaureate school, since the 2000-2001 school year.

In the past five years alone, the WCS school district has grown significantly by an average of 1,400 students each year. Presently, there are over 2,000 certified and 1,400 support personnel in the school district. Over 55 percent of the district's professional employees have attained an educational level of a master's degree or higher, and an impressive 34 percent have a PhD or EDD.
